3D animation:
The prompt for this animation was to show a walk, run, and a jump while creating a personality for this character. With my animation, I wanted to create a character who's main motive in this universe was to destroy. In the end–it doesn't end up working in their favor though.
Through working with the audio, creating a stomp cycle, and framing shots with anticipation–I tried to give this blank world a narrative.
Models were provided to us to animate.
Animated in Maya and put together in After Effects.
VR Game Assets:
I 3d modeled, rigged, and imported 3D assets into a VR game. During this project, I learned a ton about Maya and Unity and how the two programs work together.
This was also my first time within a 3D modeling software and a I learned a lot about rigging and modeling low poly assets. I created a taxidermy case, a beetle model, and a rigged butterfly model that is flying along a path I made in Maya. Once I imported the animation into Unity–I had to learn a lot about using the animation editor to tweak the path to fit into the room correctly.
I created the butterfly model with the intention of it being reused easily for different species.
